The Jerusalem post reported on Wednesday that the Israeli Ministry of Communications and Industry (MCI) will start a pilot project in which people will be asked to submit an application for an ad on the Israeli online messaging app Kik.

According to the Jerusalem Post, the MCI’s pilot project will run until January 2021.

The initiative, which aims to bring the Kik ad platform to the Israeli market, will help the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in implementing the country’s online advertising law and in the process will provide more opportunities for businesses to attract customers.

According the MCX, Kik’s application will require an applicant to provide the name and address of the company and the relevant information, which includes a description of the product and service, the number of messages received and the number sent.

The MCI said Kik will then analyze the application to identify the best advertisements for the application, which will be distributed to the local advertising authorities and advertisers in the relevant area.

According its website, Kik allows for the sending of messages via messaging, email, mobile devices, and social media.

The app also allows users to buy and sell products and services.

According To Haaretz, the Kik application will allow businesses to “provide direct marketing to their customers,” with ads targeting specific demographic groups.

In addition, the initiative aims to increase Kik’s advertising revenue by adding to its user base and to bring more local businesses to the platform, the publication reported.

The MCI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Israeli company has also launched a mobile app for Kik called “Kik Shoe” that can be used to buy goods and services online.

The service is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2021.
